DIRECTOR, GOVERNMENT CONTRACT PROGRAMS

THE POSITION

The primary responsibilities of the position are to provide strategic recommendations for Federal and Medicaid pricing for all of the Company's product sales, to ensure compliance with current laws and regulations, and to develop government reporting and analyses that enable more effective Company decisions and management. The position manages a professional staff of 4 and reports to the Vice President of Contracting, Reimbursement & Analysis, who also manages the operations unit and the commercial contracting business. The position is based at headquarters in New York, NY.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate brings 10 plus years of relevant experience, primarily from the pharmaceutical industry and at least 5 years experience in Government Contracting. Experience with commercial contracting is also a plus. He or she has a demonstrated record of past success, the interpersonal, strategic and analytical skills to add exceptional value and the potential to be promoted to future positions of greater responsibility. Furthermore, the ideal candidate is comfortable and effective in dealing with C-level Marketing, Sales and Finance executives in the Company and, externally, with FDA and Formulary Committees. Educational requirement is a bachelor's degree. An MBA, CPA or JD is a decided plus.
